The District and the Columbia Basin Irrigation Council, representing the District’s bargaining unit employees, have continued to work toward a mutually-acceptable successor Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Today, we are pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached by union leadership and the District Board of Directors, and we anticipate that it will be ratified by union members on Wednesday, April 20.
The 2022 irrigation season was off to a strong start, however the early demand has quickly diminished as early spring storms have provided unscheduled deliveries in the form of rain, sleet, and snow. All District staff will continue to ensure consistent delivery of service as demand increases following the recent storms. We will keep you posted on future updates.
